As I look forward to 2013 and blogging more in the new year, I'd love…
So here’s the second half of 2012 recap on the blog. (If you missed the first half of my year in review, you can see it here.)
In July, I went to the biggest craft fair in Seattle and shared my favorite sellers here, here and here. I introduced a few new ways to order my wreaths. I hosted a giveaway or two. I celebrated the summer with campfires on the beach and gigantic bubble-blowing. And I made a digital scrapbook page or two.
In August, I was lucky enough to be featured in two magazines and an Etsy Blog post about inspiring packaging. I also shared a photo of a work in progress – a custom wreath. And I made a scrapbook page about our summer trip to Long Beach, WA.
In September, with both my girls starting new schools this month, blogging definitely went on the backburner for a bit. I finished up a custom wreath and shared the story behind it. I designed a monogram hoop art with beautiful fall colors, offered a new wreath design based on the one I created for my youngest daughter’s birthday party and documented my daughter’s first haircut.
In October, I reached a few significant milestones for Catshy Crafts. I went to my first craft conference. I reached 100 sales. I was chosen to be a guest designer for one of my favorite scrapbooking manufacturers. I also started to prepare for my most proud achievement of the year (coming up in November).
In November, I did something I never thought I would do. I was featured here and here. And I made a brand new sign for my shop. What a exhausting month but so worth it!
December 2012 was by far my busiest month. And it was all because of this amazing thing. I thanked my customers for a great year and recapped my most popular posts of the year!
And now as we begin 2013, (well January is almost over isn’t it!?), I am excited to continue to document my life as a crafty, Photoshop-loving, shy, thrifty, creative business owner, shutterbug and stay-at-home mom as well as revisit some topics that I never got around to blogging about last year including:
- Photos of works in progress
- How I designed my craft show booth
- Thrift store finds (my favorite pastime when I’m not crafting)
- Etsy Love (featuring other Etsy sellers I love)
- New handmade items
- Photography and crafty tutorials
- Photos of my life as stay-at-home mom and craftpreneur
I hope you will stick with me and come back and visit again!
