Sofia’s 7th : A Sprinkles Party!

Returning to Cupcake Royale, where my little shop Catshy Crafts was born, we celebrated Sofia’s seventh year in our lives. The theme, of course, was the yummy cupcake. Starting with the invitations.

Cupcake by Kitschy Digitals. Paper by Creativity by Crystal. Font: Pacifico. Photographs by me.

I added this image to the Evite. I found a pre-designed invitation that went well with my design. I also printed the image and mounted on brown kraft paper to set on the table in front of Sofia at the party. Along with a pink yarn-wrapped monogram “S” and Hello Kitty holding a cupcake.

The night before the party, Sofia and I had a little assembly going….filling up the glassine favor bags with a hand-made felt hairclip on a special kraft paper backing with a “thanks for coming” message, a paper umbrella (from the Party Store) a cupcake sticker, a tiny butterfly sticker, a heart sticker, a few self-stick gems and a couple of cupcake punches. And as a last-minute addition, Sofia decided to draw each girl her own unique cupcake and name. What a shame I did not photograph these little drawings! I am kicking myself. Luckily, Sofia made one for herself and her sister so at least I have those two. Each bag was tied shut with purple baker’s twine with an accordion flower with each little girl’s name on the front topped with jeweled crown.

I think making favor bags is my favorite thing. So many little goodies for the girls to discover!
